Pokémon Black & White Episode 13 – Pokémon League (Elite Four) Walkthrough

Pokémon Black & White Episode 13 – Pokémon League (Elite Four) Walkthrough

1. Entering the Pokémon League & Preparation

  • At last, you’ve entered the Pokémon League!
  • Before entering, check your Pokémon party and make sure you have plenty of items: Hyper Potions, Revives, status healers, and type-coverage TMs.
  • Challenge the Elite Four! You can battle them in any order—choose according to your team’s strengths.

2. First Elite Four Member: Marshal (Fighting Type)

  • Main Type: Fighting
  • Weak to: Psychic, Flying
  • Tip: Marshal’s Pokémon also carry Rock-type moves, so Water-types are helpful in addition to Psychic- and Flying-types.

3. Second Elite Four Member: Caitlin (Psychic Type)

  • Main Type: Psychic
  • Weak to: Ghost, Dark
  • Tip: Having a Dark-type like Krookodile makes this battle much easier. If you lack type advantages, push through with high levels and plenty of healing.

4. Third Elite Four Member: Shauntal (Ghost Type)

  • Main Type: Ghost
  • Weak to: Ghost
  • Tip: Ghost-type moves like Shadow Ball are especially effective—mirror matchups can work well here.

5. Fourth Elite Four Member: Grimsley (Dark Type)

  • Main Type: Dark
  • Weak to: Fighting
  • Tip: If you lack a Fighting-type Pokémon, be sure you’ve taught at least one Pokémon a Fighting move (like Brick Break or Low Sweep).

6. Clearing the Elite Four & Preparing for the Champion

  • Once all four are defeated, you’ll be able to face the Champion. Heal up and prepare your best team!
  • All four central flames ignite in the main hall—this marks your victory over the Elite Four.
  • All that remains is the final, climactic battle with the Champion!

Strategy & Tips

  • Choose your order: The Elite Four can be challenged in any sequence—strategize based on your party’s health, PP, and type advantages.
  • Type matchups matter:
    • Fighting (Marshal): Use Psychic, Flying, or Water moves.
    • Psychic (Caitlin): Use Ghost or Dark moves.
    • Ghost (Shauntal): Use Ghost moves.
    • Dark (Grimsley): Use Fighting moves.
  • Prep your inventory: Bring plenty of healing items (Potions, Full Restores), Revives, and status healers to handle back-to-back battles without a Pokémon Center.
  • Level up: The Elite Four push your team to the limit—train and grind if needed, so you aren't out-leveled.
  • TM Coverage: If you lack a particular type, teach your Pokémon TMs to help bridge coverage gaps.
