Pokémon Black & White Episode 15 – Legendary Pokémon Kyurem Guide

1. Post-League Adventure Begins & National Pokédex Upgrade

• After conquering the Pokémon League, your 2nd adventure begins from home.

• As soon as you get home, you’re asked to track down the Sages, but this episode focuses on catching the legendary Pokémon Kyurem.

• Stepping outside, your Pokédex is upgraded to the National Dex—now you can find Pokémon from many generations!

2. Journey to Giant Chasm for Kyurem

• Cheren sets out exploring from Route 1.

• Kyurem is waiting at Giant Chasm. Fly to Opelucid City to begin your quest.

• From Opelucid City, enter Route 11, where even classic first-gen Pokémon start appearing—perfect for filling up your Pokédex.

3. Lacunosa Town Event & Entering Giant Chasm

• Follow Route 11 to arrive at Lacunosa Town.

• In Lacunosa, you can deliver three mail items to earn TM U-turn. This is optional—skip if not interested.

4. Exploring the Giant Chasm & Forest Puzzle

• Head into Giant Chasm and explore the caves.

• Exiting the cave leads to a mysterious forest area.

• Don’t forget the important items in the forest, especially TM Ice Beam!

• Find a pond in the forest’s center.

• Stand near the pond—weather will change, the trees will disappear, and a staircase will reveal itself. Don’t miss this puzzle, as it’s easy to get stuck!

5. Encountering the Legendary Kyurem

• Finally, Kyurem appears! This powerful Dragon/Ice-type legendary Pokémon awaits you.

• Kyurem is extremely tough to catch. If you have a Master Ball, use it—otherwise, be prepared with plenty of Ultra Balls and Poké Balls (sometimes regular Poké Balls work even better!). Inflict status (Sleep, Paralysis) for better odds, and always weaken Kyurem as much as possible before throwing balls.

6. Kyurem Caught!

• Capture Kyurem and add the first legendary Pokémon of your post-league adventure to your collection!

• Congratulations! Next time, you’ll tackle the musketeer trio—Cobalion, Terrakion, and Virizion!

Strategy Tips

• National Pokédex: After the League, your Pokédex expands, letting you find Pokémon from other generations all over Unova.
• Giant Chasm Puzzle: Don’t get stuck—trigger the forest’s pond weather event to reveal the path, and claim Ice Beam along the way.
• Kyurem Capture: Prepare lots of Poké Balls. If you don’t have a Master Ball, try both Ultra Balls and Poké Balls (sometimes Poké Balls have better luck). Status conditions like Sleep and Paralysis help a lot.
• Lacunosa Event: U-turn TM is a nice bonus if you feel like delivering the three mail items, but it’s not required.
