After being told to head to Lake Valor in the last episode,

we’re officially deploying on this mission!

Fly over to Veilstone City, which is closest to Lake Valor.

Arrived at Lake Valor!
This is where Team Galactic starts to really take over.

Right from the entrance, the mood is intense...
These enemies mean business.

Team Galactic grunts everywhere.
They’ve set up a proper base here.

Enter the lake cave. 
the real mission begins!

Found the squad leader of this area.
Time to focus and take them down!

Let’s take out the commander first!
Battle tip: Target their weaknesses to win efficiently.

They retreat after hinting you should go to Lake Verity next...

Fly to Twinleaf Town near Lake Verity! 
a slight change in scenery!

Arrived at the lake entrance. 
Another boss awaits?

Team Galactic seems to have a whole team ready,
yet the protagonist still fights alone.
(Thanks a lot, guys...)

Of course, all the battles are on me. 
This is exhausting 😫

No couple battles here, in case you were wondering.

Finish the battle quickly —
save your HP and your time!

Honestly... this is a bit much.
I have to clear all three lakes? Really? 😭

Brief side story:
Heading off to catch an Electric-type Pokémon — Pikachu!

At the Pokémon Mansion, lots of rare Pokémon show up!
It’s fun just to catch them!

Chat with the proud mansion owner for a bit…

Check the back garden for Pokémon that appear on different days of the week!

Caught a Pichu instead of Pikachu!
Don’t worry — Pichu’s still a solid Electric-type.

Back to the main story —
heading to Eterna City near Lake Acuity.

Cross mountains and rivers, and we’re at the entrance to Mt. Coronet!

Climbing Mt. Coronet —
it’s not too complicated, so don’t worry.

Exited the dark cave safely!
Wandering a bit in the snowy fields, but don’t get lost!

Found a house near the peak!
Don’t forget to grab (HM08) 'Rock Climb' here!

It belonged to the NPC, 
but they just give it to you —
plus you get an Icicle Plate too. What a kind soul!

We’re nearing Lake Acuity!

Team Galactic is blocking the way.
You’ll need the Snowpoint City Badge to proceed.

Just a little north and you’ll reach Snowpoint City!

No hesitation — let’s hit the Gym!

On the way, Pichu evolved into Pikachu!
(Remember: Pikachu evolves into Raichu with a Thunder Stone —
but I don’t have one yet 😢)

Clear all the snowballs in the Gym by sliding into them.
Beginners might need a few tries, 
but you’ll get the hang of it!

Once you’re used to it, it’s a breeze to navigate.

Gym Leader appears!

Mostly Ice-type Pokémon,
so Fire-type moves are super effective!
Especially this one — one Close Combat and it’s over!
Infernape saves the day again 💥

Seventh badge, GET! 
Congrats!

Now you can use (HM08) 'Rock Climb' outside of battle!
And you also get TM Avalanche — more battle power unlocked!

Explore Snowpoint a bit more and you’ll find a girl
offering to trade her Haunter for your Medicham.
But spoiler: it won’t evolve into Gengar.
Why? It’s holding an Everstone...
