[Pokémon DP Walkthrough – Part 9]Pokémon Diamond & Pearl Guide (Spear Pillar)


In the last guide, we got our badge at Snowpoint City and headed back to Lake Acuity.

Now it’s time to resume our DP adventure!

We’re jumping right back in at Lake Acuity!

Hmm… something’s off.
Looks like the situation here has already ended.
Your rival… lost?

Yep, this is basically an open invitation to storm Team Galactic’s HQ in Veilstone City.

Before you go, prep for some blizzard weather!

Let’s go!
charging into Team Galactic’s HQ!

One grunt helpfully gives us the storage key.
Seems nice, but… feels like a trap?

Use the key to open the warehouse and grab the Dusk Stone while you're at it!

But you can’t access the deeper areas yet.
We still need the Galactic Key from inside the warehouse.

Search the warehouse thoroughly and you’ll find it!
This is your key to unlocking everything.

Now you can access all the previously locked areas!

With the key in hand, it’s time to infiltrate Galactic HQ!

The doors open wide—full access granted.

Wander around a bit and... 
boss battle time!

As expected, the boss is underwhelming.
Tip: Hit their weaknesses hard and fast.

Then—surprise! You’re handed a Master Ball.
Why? Who knows! But we’ll take it.

After escaping HQ, 
we roam a bit and prep for the next phase.

Turns out the three lake guardians have all been captured...

Beat a grunt or two and clear the area.

Galactic HQ leaves behind a “kind” message asking for help... suspiciously.

So what’s the Red Chain?
Well, for now, the HQ arc is wrapped up.

Now, it’s time to head to Mt. Coronet!

Fly to Oreburgh City! 
the closest spot.
We’ve made it to the base of the mountain! 😊

Climbing up and passing through caves—
finally, back outdoors!

But we’re not done yet… 😓
Starting to run into more Team Galactic grunts.

Just a little more to go—hang in there!
Galactic grunts are everywhere.
Fights keep coming, but you’re almost there!
Finally, we’ve reached the entrance to Spear Pillar!

And the Galactic welcome party is here 😅

Palkia is mentioned!
(If you’re playing Dialga’s version, you’ll get Dialga instead.)
Since I’m playing Pearl, it’s Palkia time!

Here comes the legend — Palkia (or Dialga) appears!
“Hang tight, I’m coming for you!”
Time to mentally prep for the big catch.
But first, we’ve got to deal with Galactic commanders.

Tag battle time — with your rival!
Oh nice, thanks for healing me 😄

“Can’t I just use the Master Ball they gave me earlier?”
“Are you dumb?”
Of course I’m going to use it myself!

Your Boss seems kind of salty now 😅
“What are you gonna do about it? I’m winning anyway!”
(Okay, this is full middle school drama 😂)

At last — let’s go catch Palkia!

Pulling out the Master Ball…
Such a flex — 
“Why’d you even give this to me?”
Palkia is mine!


Mission complete: Caught Palkia (or Dialga)!
