Pokémon [PT Walkthrough - Part 20] Regigigas (Regirock, Regice, Registeel)

[Miru’s Pokémon PT Walkthrough – Part 20] Regigigas (Regirock, Regice, Registeel)

In this guide, we’re off to encounter the legendary Pokémon Regigigas!

But in Pokémon Platinum, you must meet specific conditions before you can challenge Regigigas.

Requirement: The Three Regis!

🪨 Regirock ❄️ Regice 🛡️ Registeel

To meet Regigigas, you must have all three Regi Pokémon in your party

Important:
In Platinum, you cannot catch these three in-game unless you have a special Event Regigigas.

Normally, you need to transfer them from Generation 3 games (Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald) via Pal Park, or use a cheat device to obtain them.

How to Get the Regi Trio
Transfer from GBA games: Use Pal Park to migrate Regirock, Regice, and Registeel from Ruby, Sapphire, or Emerald.

Event Regigigas: If you have the special event Regigigas, you can unlock the Regi trio in Platinum, but this event has long ended.

Cheat devices: Some players use Action Replay or similar devices, but this is not an official method.

Heading to Snowpoint Temple

First, travel to Snowpoint City.

Go just north of the city to find...

...the entrance to Snowpoint Temple!

The temple isn’t too complicated—head straight down to the lowest floor where Regigigas awaits.

Encountering Regigigas

At last, Regigigas appears before you!

But:
If you don’t have Regirock, Regice, and Registeel in your party, Regigigas won’t react or wake up.

⚠️ You MUST have all three Regis in your party to activate the battle with Regigigas!
Once you meet the condition, the battle begins!

Regigigas will be at level 1, so be careful not to knock it out—use low-damage moves and plenty of Poké Balls.

Regigigas Quick Summary

To catch Regigigas:

👉 You need Regirock, Regice, and Registeel in your party.

In Platinum:

Normally, you cannot catch the Regi trio in-game unless you had the event Regigigas.

Otherwise, transfer them from GBA games or use cheats.
Location: Snowpoint Temple, lowest floor.

Battle tips:
Regigigas is level 1, so use False Swipe or similar moves,
and bring plenty of Dusk Balls or Ultra Balls.

Final Thoughts
Regigigas is an overwhelming presence—catching it is a true achievement!
If you don’t have the Regis yet, try trading or transferring from older games.

Next time, we’ll cover another legendary Pokémon guide!

Stay tuned for more adventures!

Sources:

To encounter Regigigas in Platinum, you must have Regirock, Regice, and Registeel in your party, which requires transferring them from Gen 3 games or using an event Regigigas. The event is no longer available, so most players transfer from Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald via Pal Park.
