It’s finally time to explore the new areas unlocked after the ending of the Sinnoh adventure!

In this guide, you’ll journey through the Survival Area, Resort Area, and Battle Frontier, all the way to catching the legendary Pokémon, Heatran.


Sunyshore City → Fight Area

First, head to Sunyshore City!
Remember the place your mom mentioned after the first ending?

Take the ship from Sunyshore City’s harbor~

?! You’ll spot Cynthia!

Board the ship to the Fight Area.


Exploring the Fight Area
Upon arrival, you’ll reunite with your rival and even have a duo battle!
??? Dad??? Who knew your father was so strong!

You can buy powerful moves here,
but today’s focus is the Heatran quest.


Arriving at the Resort Area
On the way, you’ll reach the Resort Area—enjoy the vacation vibes!

You’ll receive a villa! Friends may come to visit.

Time to set out on your adventure again!


To Stark Mountain!
On the way, visit the elder who teaches ultimate moves to starter Pokémon.

Finally, you’ll reach the entrance to Stark Mountain!

Enemies still remain inside…
If they haven’t disbanded, it’s time to deal with them!

The path isn’t too hard, but it’s quite long.

You’ll team up with Buck here.
You can’t use Rock Climb in this section,
but Buck will keep healing your Pokémon.


Heatran’s Location
Take note of the spot you pass with Buck—this is where Heatran will appear later.


Team Galactic Finale Event
Looker appears and the Team Galactic story wraps up.
It feels like the end of a long story!

You’ll finally arrive at the Survival Area!

Survival Area
At last, you reach the Survival Area!

Battle strong trainers as soon as you arrive—
“Wow… they’re tough!”

You can rematch former Gym Leaders here.
It’s a great place to farm strong Pokémon.
Opponents change daily, so check back often.

Catching Heatran!
Now, it’s time to catch Heatran!

Return to Stark Mountain.
This time, you’re alone, so you can use Rock Climb!

At last, Heatran appears!!!

But it’s really hard to catch… 😭


Luckily, Heatran isn’t a roaming Pokémon, so it won’t flee.
Be patient and keep trying.
