1. Skyarrow Bridge & Arriving in Castelia City
- Exiting the gate, the grand Skyarrow Bridge appears before you.
- After crossing the impressive Skyarrow Bridge, you finally arrive in Castelia City!
- With so many tall buildings, the city’s layout can be confusing—be sure to use your map!
2. Evolution Stone & TM Flash Acquisition
- Right after arriving, head down to search for valuable items.
- Get your hands on an Evolution Stone—perfect for evolving a variety of Pokémon!
- This area will become important during a later event, so remember its location.
- Obtain TM "Flash"—an essential move for navigating caves, so don’t miss it.
3. Route 4 Recommended Training & Fire Pokémon
- Before exploring Castelia City, head to Route 4 and catch a fire-type Pokémon like Darumaka.
- On Route 4, you’ll also find Pokémon like Sandile—plenty of options to strengthen your team.
- The third Gym specializes in Bug-types, so having a fire Pokémon is a big advantage.
4. Team Plasma Incident Before the Castelia City Gym
- Find the Gym entrance in the left alley of Castelia City.
- Just before entering, a Team Plasma incident occurs.

- Their hideout is in the building in front of the Gym.
- Battle Team Plasma Grunts, recover the stolen Pokémon, and resolve the incident.
5. Veilstone City Gym Guide
- Meet the “Fresh Water Man” at the Gym entrance.
- The Gym’s layout is simple, making this section easy to clear.
- Most Gym Trainers use Bug-type Pokémon—if you have a fire Pokémon, victory comes easy.
6. Battle Against the Gym Leader & Earning the Third Badge
- Face off against the Gym Leader.
- The Leader also uses Bug-types—use your fire Pokémon for a swift win.
