Heading to Lentimas Town

Begin your search for the Lake Trio in Lentimas Town. This will be your starting point for the Legendary encounter sequence.

Preparing to Enter the Cave

You’ll need both Surf and Waterfall to reach the cave entrance. Make sure your team is ready with these HMs.

Meeting Professor Juniper in the Cave

Inside, you’ll encounter Professor Juniper. She senses something unusual, building suspense for the Legendary event.

The Lake Trio Appears

The Legendary Pokémon Uxie, Azelf, and Mesprit appear together—but quickly scatter to separate locations throughout Unova.

Tracking the Lake Trio

Now your task is to travel to each of their new locations individually to challenge and capture them.

Uxie’s Location: Nacrene City

Find Uxie in front of the Museum in Nacrene City.

Capturing Uxie

Inflict status conditions (Sleep/Paralysis) and use Ultra Balls to secure its capture.

Azelf’s Location: Near Victory Road

Backtrack toward the forest near Victory Road, where you’ll encounter Azelf.

Capturing Azelf

Azelf lurks in a mysterious spot with strange energy; save beforehand and proceed carefully. Use Dark- or Ghost-type counters to weaken it, then throw Ultra Balls.

Mesprit’s Location: Celestial Tower

Travel from Mistralton City to the Celestial Tower. Head to the rooftop to find Mesprit.

Capturing Mesprit

Mesprit triggers an encounter at the top of the tower. Apply status conditions and lower its HP before attempting the capture.

Key Tips

• Surf & Waterfall: Required to first reach the cave where the event begins.
• Uxie: Found in Nacrene City (Museum). Azelf: Near the forests by Victory Road. Mesprit: Celestial Tower rooftop in Mistralton.
• Always save before each battle. Inflict Sleep or Paralysis and stock up on Ultra Balls. Reserve the Master Ball for emergencies.
