We’ve caught Palkia (or Dialga)

now it’s time to go for the final badge!

The last Gym is in Sunyshore City, a place we haven’t visited yet.

First, head to Veilstone City, the closest point to Sunyshore!

Remember that NPC who used to block the way because of a blackout?
Poof—gone now.
Mysterious, huh?


Pick up the TM for Fling and keep heading toward Sunyshore.

There are quite a few Trainers on the way,
so battle them all and farm that EXP!

As soon as you arrive... 
surprise! An Elite Four member appears!
He’s like, “Move. I’m busy.” 😂

Anyway, let’s head to the Gym!

Before that, don’t forget to grab a Thunder Stone nearby
and evolve your Pikachu into Raichu!
You got that Thunder Stone, right?

Wait—Gym’s locked? The Leader is missing?
No worries, he’s nearby.

Found him in the lighthouse!

He tells you to come challenge him at the Gym.
How convenient!

“I came all this way to find you! Let’s battle already!”

The final Gym has a tricky layout.
Step on switches to move platforms around.
It’s a mix of puzzle-solving and orientation skills!
You’ve made it this far—great job!
Just a little more to go!

Here it is: your final Gym challenge!

Oops... missed a switch and messed up the path 😭
Don’t worry—just reset and try again!

Wow, this team is actually strong!
You can really feel how far you’ve come.

And at last—you’ve earned the final badge!
Congrats on earning your eighth Gym Badge! 🎉

Now you can use Waterfall outside of battle!
Let’s go get that HM07!

Bonus: you also get TM57 Charge Beam!

The person who gives it to you?
It’s none other than the legendary Gym Leader from Gold & Silver!

HM07 Waterfall acquired!
Now that you’ve got all eight badges...

It’s time to head to the Pokémon League!
