Pokémon [PT Walkthrough – Part 10] Sunyshore City (Eighth Badge)
[Miru’s Pokémon PT Walkthrough – Part 10] Pokémon Giratina Walkthrough – Sunyshore City (Eighth Badge)
After the tough battle to catch Giratina in the last walkthrough, it’s finally time to head to Sunyshore City for your last Gym Badge!
But of course, there are a few important stops to make along the way—let’s go through them together.
Visit Professor Rowan in Sandgem Town!
First, Fly to Sandgem Town!
Have a conversation with Professor Rowan.
This is a key story event, so don’t skip it!
Get TM Thunderbolt & Electirizer
Next, head to the Valley Windworks near Floaroma Town!
Here, you can obtain TM24 – Thunderbolt and an Electirizer.
Both are very useful for boosting your Electric-type Pokémon, so don’t miss them!
The Road to Sunyshore City
Now, officially set out from Pastoria City to Sunyshore City.
On the way, there’s an NPC who can help your Pokémon remember moves using a Heart Scale.
I taught my Torterra Wood Hammer here!
You can get Heart Scales from the Oreburgh City Mining Museum—keep that in mind!
The person who was blocking the road earlier is now gone, so you’re free to proceed!
Follow Route 222 and you’ll reach the Sunyshore City gate.
Arriving in Sunyshore City & Lighthouse Event
Something feels a little off when you arrive…
As expected, the Gym Leader is missing!
You’ll find the Gym Leader at the lighthouse!
You can also use the telescope to view the Pokémon League from here.
(Yep, I knew it—that’s why I brought you here!)
Challenging the Sunyshore Gym!
The Gym specializes in Electric-types.
You’ll need to press buttons to connect electric currents and open up the path!
I cleared it easily with just Torterra—Ground-types are totally invincible against Electric-types!
Finally!!! Eighth and last badge GET!!!
Rewards & Preparing for the Pokémon League
You can now use (HM03) Surf everywhere,
and you’ll also get the TM Charge Beam as a bonus!
Now it’s time to prepare for the Pokémon League!
Using Surf and Waterfall, I made it all the way to the entrance of Victory Road!
Preparing Vaporeon & Getting the Water Stone
But… I didn’t have a strong Water-type Pokémon,
so I decided to evolve my prepared Eevee into Vaporeon!
The problem… I didn’t have a Water Stone!
In Pokémon Platinum, you can find a Water Stone at the Solaceon Ruins near Solaceon Town—don’t forget!
Finally… Vaporeon evolved!
Now I’m perfectly ready for Surfing duties^^
