Starting Pokémon all over again!

This time, I’m back with a walkthrough for Pokémon Pt (Platinum) 😊

In this version, I’ll be focusing more on legendary 

Pokémon that were skipped in Dialga & Palkia (DP).

Especially the encounter with Giratina—I'll guide you through every step carefully!

Let’s begin Miru’s Pokémon Pt walkthrough right now! 🎮

As always, the game starts with the familiar Professor!
And gender selection for the protagonist, introduced in Gen 4, 
is still here in the Pt version.

Of course, I named the protagonist [Miru]!
As for the rival? Let’s just go with [MiruRival]… 
(naming is such a hassle 😅)

Alright, time to dive into the world of Pokémon Giratina!

Compared to the DP version, the intro scene is slightly different.
Remember the Red Gyarados news scene in DP? That’s skipped here in Pt.
Well… not a big deal, so let’s move on! ^^


Your rival shows up and says, “Let’s go get Pokémon from Professor Rowan!”

The way to the professor’s lab feels kind of overwhelming…

Whoa… this guy is charging ahead without a plan again 😂

What? This time we don’t even have to enter the grass—
Professor Rowan appears himself!
Thanks to that, we can safely receive our Pokémon.
Maybe the rival is more thoughtful than he seems? ^^

Finally! The moment we receive our very first Pokémon ✨

💚 Grass Type – Turtwig

Still as cute and charming as ever in Platinum!
It makes the story a bit tougher, but you can overcome it with love~

🔥 Fire Type – Chimchar

Great choice for an easier playthrough—strong right from the start!
Its evolution into a Fire/Fighting type is especially powerful.

💧 Water Type – Piplup

While there are plenty of water-types later, Piplup has a solid evolution path.
As always, starter choice comes down to personal taste, right? ^^

Now that we’ve chosen our Pokémon, it’s time for our first battle! 💥

The rival always picks the starter that’s strong against yours.
e.g., You choose Grass → Rival chooses Fire
But early on, it’s just Tackle vs. Tackle anyway 😆

Quick trip home to say goodbye to Mom before the journey begins~

Essential travel gear: Received Running Shoes! Time to run! 🏃‍♀️

Now we head to Lake Verity, near our hometown.

A mysterious blue-haired man appears here…
He’s the main villain of the Giratina version!

Next, we move on to Sandgem Town.
It’s early in the game, so the path is simple—easy to find!
You’ve arrived at Sandgem Town, right? 😊

You hear that your rival already came and left~

Finally! You receive the Pokédex, signaling the start of your true journey ✨

Also received TM27 (Return)—ready to go!

Learn how to use the Pokémon Center and Poké Mart too~

Time to buy Poké Balls!
Tip: Buy 10 to get 1 Premier Ball as a bonus!
You knew that, right? 😉

Caught a Starly on the way back!
Super useful in early-game progression.

Huh? Your rival’s mom suddenly shows up?! 😲

Apparently, he left without saying goodbye…
So you get an item to deliver on her behalf and head out!
