[Pokémon DP Guide – Part 11] Victory Road & The Rival Battle

In the last guide, we picked up HM07 Waterfall from Sunyshore City!

Now it’s time for the final challenge—the road to the Pokémon League!

Start at the entrance of Victory Road and use Surf to begin your climb.

As you move upward, you’ll get closer to the League.

Don’t forget to use Waterfall when needed!

Right before the cave, there’s a Pokémon Center—

definitely heal up and prep your team before entering Victory Road.

The path ahead is a bit of a maze, so stay sharp! 😖

You've arrived at the entrance to Victory Road—

Here we go!

Be sure to bring Rock Climb—you’ll need it along the way!

Follow the path toward the exit.

You’ll need to go down a lower level.

This part requires Strength and Rock Smash,

so be ready to use those HMs.

Find the older man by the exit—head out that way.

As you come out, you’ll get access to another Rock Climb spot.

You’re nearly out—just a little more to go!

Use Surf and Waterfall again to progress further.

You’ll find another exit up ahead!

One last Rock Climb section to clear.

You’ve made it through Victory Road! 🎉

so if you’re a completionist, 

go back and explore the side areas too!

The Pokémon League is right in front of you!

You’ve arrived! It’s the Pokémon League!

Just when you’re about to head inside…

Your rival appears!

You think, “He’s probably gotten stronger, huh?”

And yep—he really has!

Time for one last thrilling rival battle!

Once you beat your rival, 

the Elite Four challenge officially begins!

He leaves you with a final line:

“I’ll claim glory!!!”

Now that’s the spirit!
